The templates are a breeze to use, you just align them to either the top or bottom, put a center line on your work and align with the built in center lines on the templates, then use 2 4d finish nails to hold it in place, cut the majority off with the jig saw, then use a flush router bit with a bottom bearing so that you can trim it on the router table. Perfect every time, I actually used one of the templates to create the arch on my cross brace on the legs of my corn hole boards.

Good Luck,

Robert

hanks robert,

Looks like they have got to be the go, I wonder can I source them in Australia otherwise its a international purchase to Sommerfield I will do some research and see how I go.

Like the fact that they are the high density plastic, sure beats using MDF then  Bandsaw and  sanding etc, then I still had a rounded over corner so I was not impressed with my first result, too labour ebtensive and no repeatability,

Hello Robert,

I was admiring your door work and wondered how you came up with the curve in the top rails.

I have been making some doors but have been unable to find any details on Proportions, apart from the fact the stiles and top rail are the same width, and if there is a curve edge the thinnest section is the same width as the stile.

Hope your hand has recovered OK.

Regards

Robert Brennan

Free Hand Guard (dust collection)

Hi.  I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing.  How effective is it?  It's adaptable to any router table.  Continue

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
