Very beautiful. Great job.
I think Jay's comments are right on. I went to my thrift store found two nice candidates but the one didn't have a foot board and the other foot board was too short. I'm think about the one foot board buying 6" legs and screwing them on the bottom.
Thank you all for the nice comments! This was a really fun project. Gary, I did cut the foot board in half. In retrospect, I wish I would have cut a few more inches off each side to make the bench a less deep. I'm going to have to put some pillows on it to make it a bit more comfortable to sit in.
Rachel, this is extra nice from the color to the design idea to the work you did to make this a special bench. This a great idea and you have completed a worthwhile project that is sure to be a eye catcher from those whom see it. Thanks you for sharing you project.
I have wanted to build this bench for a long time. I may have to make a trip to my thrift store tomorrow.
Looking for an ornate bed frame. Do you basically take the foot board and cut it in half ?
Nice job Rachel.

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…

Several months ago, I purchased the Kreg K4MS so that I could build the Lego Table as outlined on the companion "buildsomething" web site which exclusively uses pocket hole construction. I have considerable experience with conventional…
