nice, thank you for that - I am always curious on the materials. What is with the corners though? How come they aren't a closed joint? Just for looks?

I used std cabinet quality 3/4 lywood and Poplar for the solid wood and trim pieces. the stain is Minwax's Golden Oak stain, fimished with a floor type clear semi gloss Poly Urethane ,,, 2 coats with sanding between coats. I did run into a minor problem with the screws slitting thew popar trim work were it attached at the edges. I found that drilling a second pilot hole solved that problem.
Anything else we should know about the project? Type of wood, stain, etc... ?
