The stain is a "blend" of tints. The base is Kwal Premium Wood Kraft interior wood finish. It is a semi-transparent interior stain.

base color - 8709 clear,
tints - B32, C2Y40, L3Y4, F20, W4Y10

After staining, I put on Minwax indoor/outdoor HELMSMAN spar urethane. (Clear semi-gloss)

I've finished my 2nd project using the Kreg Jig. I modified the dimensions a bit so that the bookcase would fit at the end of (and under) the counter in our kitchen. As the photos say, it was made with Birch plywood and I used Red Oak for the face frame and top. Let me tell ya' ..... that Oak was hard stuff in a few spots. Maybe I caught a knot, I don't know for sure. But, I had to use some "elbow grease" on a few of the screws.

I used the same stain that is everywhere in our house. And this time I put a semi-gloss polyurethane on it. The shine looks pretty good. At least my wife said it does, and that's all that matters.

Next question for the Mrs. What's next??? I'm really enjoying this woodworking.

Actually, before I begin whatever the next project will be, I first have to build my fence/table to use with the Kreg Precision Trak & Stop Kit.
