Due to space limitations in a small garage shop, I need a large work table that I could move around rather easily. I took two plans - one from ShopNotes and one from Handyman Club of America - and blended the best of each into one. So far, it has been fabulous. It is pretty sturdy even though it is on wheels. I just have to find a flat area of garage floor to set it up. The drawers and power strip but if you'll notice from the second picture the power strip cord obstructed the top right drawer from opening. I moved the drawers about an inch to the left and routed the cord to the side and held it in place with some cup hooks. Ala in all it is a great addition to my workshop.

Thanks for the information. I will definitely check out the magazines. I do like the idea of the T-track and table top clamping. I LOVE my Kreg jig. I will incorporate it in projects when I can, as I only have a couple of clamps. I'm looking forward to seeing the photos of the miter saw "home". I'm sure that it will be great!
Hi Lorrie,
Thanks for the kind words. The Handyman Club plan is located at http://www.handymanclub.com/projects/articletype/articleview/articl.... The other plan came from a 2007 ShopNotes special issue of Tools and Jigs. The bench does include a vise (it is shown better in the second picture). I bought the Jorgensen's Woodworker's Vise (http://www.amazon.com/Jorgensen-41012-Woodworkers-Vise/dp/B0000223R...). It is a little pricey but it is definitely solid. There is probably very little I would change with the one I built. I did think long and hard about whether to put 6 drawers instead of 4. In retrospect, 4 may have been better as I would have had more storage space underneath. I initially was a little dubious about the power strip but it is more useful than I thought it would be. Let me know if you have other questions. I'll see if I can locate the ShopNotes magazine and give you more specifics on that. I'm still contemplating adding some T-track for hold-downs and other table top clamping. I am currently building a home for my 12" compound miter saw. Should have that done by the weekend and will post pictures when it is finished.
Hi Mark. Your workbench looks great! I'm in the process of trying to figure out how I want to build a workbench. I have been looking at plans but haven't decided on one yet. What if anything would you have changed or added to your workbench? Do you have a vise? I will probably want a vise on my workbench as I work alone and sometimes need another hand. What issues of the magazines did you get your inspiration from? Thanks so much for sharing your photo.

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
