I don't have a plan.  I have some Red Oak stock left over from an earlier project.  The front and back legs will be made from 1 3/4 square, I will taper the two inside faces of each leg, also taper the front face of the back support to give an appearance of a sloping back.  I have a piece of 12" wide stock that I will use for the seats.

That should work just fine.  Do you have a plan or are you going to design it yourself?

Thanks, that helps a lot.  I think I'm going to use pocket hole joinery for the chairs and reinforce with corner braces.

The chairs are constructed mortise and tenon. I did not own a Kreg Jig at the time.  I purchased a hollow mortise chisel machine which made the project a lot eaiser. Since they are for kids and strength wasn't the issue I did not support the corners with braces, however, I've notice over the years that my daughter-in-laws both use the chairs as step stools in the kitchen and they support all the weight of an adult. The back vertical rails are two long rails and the seats are cut out around them.  Hope I answered your question. Have fun building it.

Nice looking project, I have building a similar project, just completed the table and used mortise and tenon joinery.  Started roughing out the pieces for the chairs and would like to use pocket hole joinery, are you satisfied with the strength, did you add corner braces to support the joint?  How did you attach the back pieces?

Jeff

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
