Kid's Play/Lego Table (future coffee table)

Kid's Play/Lego Table (future coffee table)

We wanted a table for our kid's to play on with the Legos. Also wanted the table to remain functional as they grow older. Used two coats of a Java Gel Stain and two coats of a "General" Polyacrylic.

Kreg screw x3 from each side of stretcher into legs. I had to pre drill the legs due the the hard wood. I did glue the joint out of habit but there wasn't much bonding with the sapele wood (legs).

How did you connect the legs to the stretchers?  Did you use glue?
