Bench Shelf

Shelf I designed to fit on the end of my work bench. Put together with a Kreg jig.

Thanks James and Kreg. That shelf will probably hold anything I can put on it. I am thinking in terms of putting circular saws a router and other power tools on it.

And Thank You Kreg for featuring me and my project. That was a total surprise!

Looks like a GREAT shelf, Joseph! What will you be storing on it? Very sturdy construction, should be able to hold a lot!

I know this shelf could have been made with a lot less wood. I could have omitted the back frame altogether and pocket holed the el's to the bench. I wanted to mount the shelf using carriage bolts so I can disassemble it as the rest of the bench does.

Jig settings for 2 ¾ x 1 ½ boards with 30 degree miters?

I making a hex ring out of 2x4s ripped to 2 ¾ inches wide with 30 degree miters.  What setting on the Jig should I used? 1 ½ is too much.  Thanks.Continue
