Push sticks are a must.  I have only had one small acident in 50 years of wood working and that was no fun and it was nothing you have.  Recover and be careful.

I'm glad you did post the pictures, I am sorry that it happened to you, but maybe we can all learn from this.  Just as Jay said, it only takes a millisecond for something like this to happen.  Again, I wish you the best in your healing and a speedy recovery.

Jay, you are right I got four fingers and thumb. I can still count to 10 without unzipping my pants, LOL. Seriously, there is damage, but I have been damage before they remind me of the story of the men complained about having holes in his shoes until he met the man with no feet. You guys are something be hold, I have received so much love so much warmth so many good wishes from so many of my friends here on this website that is very humbling. Question. Thank you again and I cannot thank you enough. Bill

Wow, but as nasty as that is it isn't what I imagined it would look like, and as  Jay said at least you can still count to five on that hand and that gives you something to work with.

Once again good luck

Bill it is good to be able to count 4 fingers and a thumb. means that you have something there to work with.  It gives all a reminder as to the dangers of the saw as well as other things in the shop.  I'm glad you posted as it will shopw first hand how fast it happens and the results of that millisecond of misfortune.  With all the marvels of modern medicine and your will and determination i know you will recover just fine.  My thoughts are with you wishing you the best and the fastest recovery possible.
