This is Mason Neil, my grandson for whom I made the first changing table a year and a half ago. He is helping put in the shelf pins in this table made for a friend who is about to have a baby. As Rob Cosman says, "take your child or grandchild into the shop with you!"

Thanks, Tom - it is poplar.  I try to find pieces with the color and grain variations to add interest.

That is sweet, Robert!  Mason's favorite spot in the house is a lower cabinet of my entertainment center.  He goes in and closes the door behind him and loves to pop out "surprise!"  Won't be too long before he's too big to climb in.  Thanks for sharing your memory!

Nice work Joan,

I also reminded me of when our first child Adam was about that size, some 36 years ago! he was busy climbing in and out of the kitchen cupboards we were installing. After our days work Adam was no where to be found. Where could he be we thought, eventually we found him fast asleep inside a corner unit with the door closed!.

Thank you, James.  He would love to be out there with me all the time and I'm looking forward to the time when he'll be able to work along side me.  It's not fun to always be saying "no!"  Thanks for your comments :)

I remember when I was that small and could fit in places that nowadays I couldn't put my foot in.

Wonderful job on the table and great to have grandson helping. I hope that you and him can enjoy many more years working together on projects.

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
