Thank you , Tom.. For the inlay, i used my makita trim router, with the edge guide, set to the distance i wanted from the edge , and the depth.. that simple, as for the finish , i used about 4 coats of varnish, and last coat i buffed it with a paste wax !! and that's it.. hope it helped.. Nice looking table, Steven! How did you cut in the inlay? Did you cut a groove with your router 1/4 by 1/4? Lastly, what did you finish the cedar with, as it is beautiful.... Thanks again for showing your work!

This end table, is made with my Kreg jigg, made totally of white cedar, the topp has a 1/4 inch x 1/4 inch mahogany inlay, first time i've done inlay's .

I making a hex ring out of 2x4s ripped to 2 ¾ inches wide with 30 degree miters. What setting on the Jig should I used? 1 ½ is too much. Thanks.Continue
