Thanks Angie.  Love the beadboard addition. Looks great.  I'll check out Anna's plan....and Anna too.

thats how i did it, you'll find what you like. I love this one in plywood, covered with beadboard, trimmed in 1 x 2's...that's the painted version. if you go to AnaWhite.com, there is  a plan there, laundry basket dresser, you'll be able to see it done in all kinds of different materials. This is just my preference. good luck.

Angie,

I was thinking of incorporating your painted version as part of a tall closet organizer - in lieu of bottom drawers.  So many different opinions about MDF and plywood grades that I'm reconsidering my foray into woodworking from home remodeling projects.  I guess I'll build it from plywood and learn from my screw-ups!

B.

Ive attempted this several times starting with 3/4 cabinet grade....for my purposes, my husband's jeans, sweats, and jerseys, it just didn't seem stable enough. Finally settled on 2x4 frame, which fit my purpose well. I felt I needed a frame, just so there wouldn't be swaying everytime a basket was pulled.

Really cool......does anyone know if "cabinet grade" 3/4" plywood at the BORG would be stable for this as part of a closet organizer?  Or, do I have to spend for the hardwood plywood?  I plan to paint.

Sorry, ER's been busy, just got off a 6 day marathon, reading the comments. This plan is inspired by Ana White's Laundry basket dresser design. I chunked it up a little for a 6'2 husband, felt that it needed a frame inside instead of just kregging the plywood together....and nixed the plywood all together and used a beadboard cover on the frame. hope this helps. I've since made 4 more, one for in the garage for tarps, dropcloths, trashbags, and various other sundries that I can never find when I need them. :)

Angie,

BTW---Very nice looking and useful  project.

Adam,

1st---select a basket/container, or the like, of a make, model, style and size, that is readily available in your area.

Then make your design around that object you select.

Angie provided a great photo, that gives the plan view that is needed.

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
