Bill, it would be an honor to be considered a friend.  Hope this finds you feeling better and maybe the hand not so sore.  That is a pretty nasty injury but I know with your determination that you will heal and be back to your projects.  Until then my friend please take it easy and don't try to rush it,  Keep us posted on you progress.  jay

Jay, the honor is all mine, the hand is better, no infection showing, starting to see some healing. Work in the garage today worked on a little wiring, taking it easy, just little easy jobs around the house. I am finding there is more feeling coming back then I thought there would be. The tip of the first finger does have feeling so that will make picking things up much easier. I will keep you posted on progress and I will show you some of the projects I am working on. So for now I will say goodbye and talkie later.

    Hello William,

I do appreciate your friendly gesture. I was sorry to read about your accident. It is an experience you will never forget. There must be some kind of emphatic destiny here. On the 7th of July 1971 I lost the tip of my right little finger in a jointer accident. It was replaced by a pectoral flap that necessitated the tip of the finger to be sewn onto my left pec for a month. Power tools can be notoriously dangerous. Take care my friend, but you'll be alright.

    Carlisle de Bourg.
