when I work with thicker stock I just drill deeper into the wood and use the 2.5" screws. /I will buy a Kreg HD eventually though! Definitely glue too!
Aaron, thanks for your post. Like Thomas said, a Kreg Jig HD is recommended when you are working with lumber thicker than 1-1/2". It is specifically designed to handle stock that is 1-1/2" and thicker. You can learn more about the Kreg Jig HD on our website: http://www.kregtool.com/Kreg-Jig-HD-Prodview.html.
To find a Kreg dealer near you that sells the Kreg Jig HD, try using the Kreg Dealer Locator on our website. Go to www.KregTool.com and on the left-hand side, there is a section called "Find a Dealer." Click on that and it will take you to a page where you can enter your zip code to find Kreg dealers near you. If you can't buy closer to home, we recommend ordering online (Amazon, eBay, etc).
Hope this information helps!
