My name is Randy, and I am in Michigan,, I love to work with wood, and am getting into biggers items such as tables and benches, ect,,, My question is,, does anyone have a good set of plans that thye could/would sell for a good price, (free?) for a stand up jewlery box. I wanted it to be approx. 3-4 feet high,, and have side doors that open, and like ummm,, 10 drawers? let me know?

not sure if this goes directly to my email or not,, but incase not,,

Are you looking for something like this Tansu box?
if you go to WoodcrCraft's site, and look at their jewlery/longere box,, that is the style I am looking for

that would be the jewelry/lingerie box (need to spell check I see) at WoodCraft item # 128544.

not that one persay,, but simular boxes of that type.

Hi Randy, in Michigan,

Glad you found this website and forums.

Lots of good and helpful info.

Sorry, I don't have any plans, for the object you're looking for.

Perhaps someone in the KREG community, will come up with some.

Here's the approach I'd take---

do an ''advanced'' search on google---

enter the name of the item/product, you're seeking.

Look at various ''brands'', on the market.

While perusing various websites, copy the image, and save it to your ''jewelry boxes'' file.

Also, add any applicable info you can find, that is of interest to you.

Denote any and all dimensions, that you need.

Visit various stores, that may have these items for sale---take pics and make dimensional notes.

Also note the kind of hardware used---take photos of those you like.

Make notes of the wood materials, types, sizes, dimensions, and as applicable---

also the finishes.

In addition to a digital camera, take along a stack of 3x5 cards, for making notes, sketches, jotting down ideas, and as applicable.

Make notes of various styles, trimmings, edgings, moldings, etc.  You may be able to duplicate the features, using your router, or by combining various moldings to make what you like.

You can get many ideas, from various sources, and then create your own ''masterpiece''.

Note: most jewelry boxes are of the counter models---smaller than what you desire.

Check out '' Jewelry Armoire''.

Peruse various ''sewing cabinets''---some designs feature swing out doors with lots of storage, and several drawers.

Drawers or pull-out trays, can be set-back---behind the swing-out doors---tray top front with a notch, at the top edge, to suffice as ''finger pull''.

Make the drawers shallow, approx 1"---make the drawers from 1/4" thick stock---line the inside bottom and sides with ''felt'', bonded to the wood.

Select a contrasting color, for the drawer liner---''red'' will allow the jewelry pieces to be more noticeable.

The doors inside surface(s) can feature ''pegs'', for hanging bracelets, neckless style jewelry, or the like.

Many '''dowel style pegs'', (shortened neck-tie pegs, or the like), in various designs, are available at some woodworking stores, ex Rockler, or the like.

I'd mount the pegs on an additional horizontal strip of wood, so as to provide substantial support for the pegs and their mounting pin ends---(counter-bore holes and glue the pegs in place).

The peg ends need to have a ''knob'' or ball-shaped end, to prevent objects from falling off.

Brass ''cup hooks, may suffice for your design.

Check out the many small scale objects, such as that used in ''doll houses'', and ''train board'' layouts.

Visit hobby shops and craft stores.

Sorry, I'm not able to display the images, at this time, that I have in my head.

No one has come up with a mini-camera, as of yet, to accomplish this task.

Come up with your own design and ''go for it''.

Randy,

ps---

You can install miniature locks, in some drawers---that'll make a nice touch.

A "Dremel rotary tool'', or the like, with various bits, will be very handy, to make and install some of the miniature features, that will require mortising and notching.

I'd suggest making 2 to 4 bottom trays deeper---so as to facilitate storing smaller jewelry boxes, and the like, that will take up more space.
