Hi, My name is Mike from western NY state. My wife & I have lived here for the past 7 1/2 years after relocating from northwest NJ, We live just west of Rochester. I told you about my woodworking hobby but not about what this post is all about, my daytime job. I was in the automotive business for 24 years holding several positions in the service department of automotive dealerships, started out as new car prep, line tech, many years as service advisor, shop dispatcher, & service manager (you cant pay me enough to do that again). After getting laid off in early 2002 I figured it was time for a career change & I switched over to retail taking a job with Home Depot. Stayed with them for a little over 8 years. Now I am an assistant store manager for a small retail chain.
My day time "job" is keeping myself out of trouble. It often makes life a little dull and some times boreing, but I don't get yelled at!

Hello, I'm Mark a Pharmacy Technician at a leading Hospital in the Washington DC area. I discovered woodworking about two years ago when in need of a Firewood Rack. From a simple thought came the realization of a finished product. It was satisfing to see it in use. After a Garden Bench and a few Lawn Chairs I purchased the Kreg Jig hoping to improve my woodworking skills no matter how small.

I'm Dave from Eastern Washington state. I'm medically retired after 20+ years in the Army, Active and Reserve. After being injured on my last deployment to Iraq I could no longer drive long haul truck with my wife, so I have become a stay at home husband while the wife works part time. I do a lot of scroll saw work, and have taken on some projects like building shadow boxes for the families of some of my Soldiers who have passed on.
I dabble in a lot of different woodworking and am learning as I go. I watch a lot of "how to" videos and then put them into practice in my shop.
I love the Kreg jigs that I have used and will eventually get more as money and time allow.
As for what goes on in the background of my shop, I listen to music ranging from Classic Rock, Country, Big Band, Classical, and books on tape.

Hi. I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing. How effective is it? It's adaptable to any router table. Continue

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
