Kreg Owners' Community

Just thought I would start a discussion on woodworkers real jobs. It would be fun to no if there are lots of professional people using Kreg Jig along with people  like myself a retired  construction worker.

Hi Dan,

I am originally from Newmarket, Ontario. I now live in Newport News, Virginia. I remember the difference when I moved to Virginia and could move a lot of my woodworking operations outside, except for maybe two winter months. Thought I would drop a line and say hello to a fellow Canadian.

By day I'm a mild mannered IT Geek who looks after about 500+ workstations, a 1/2 dozen servers! Woodworking is a great stress reliever for me. Unfortunately in my neck of the woods (Northern Ontario) my garage is not heated so my woodworking is limited to the warmer months, usually May - Sept/Oct and this year spring has come early so I'm about to start up again!
Hi there. New to the Kreg Jig Owner's community but not the jig itself. I work part-time at Woodcraft in Cincinnati and spend the rest of my time in my home shop, studying cabinetmaking at U.C. and hanging out with my young son. At Woodcraft I work the store but also teach classes and am developing a class now using the Kreg system to build a Shaker style end table.
What a great job that would be

Hello, I am a retired Navy SEABEE, Deep Sea Diver, and now living in Indianapolis Indiana. Presently i drive a flatbed semi hauling Steel Beams for a Steel Supply Company. My Hobbies are woodworking , of which i have turned a 2 car garage in to a full woodworking shop ( no car parking here) and Amateur Radio. Both get equal time but Christmas gifts in the fall take most of my spare time. Started using the Kreg fastening system and it has been very useful.
Just keep making saw dust!
I AM A RETIRED NAVY DEEPSEA DIVER,I'VE BEEN WORKING WITH WOOD FOR 55 YEARS .I AM 71 YEARS OLD AND HAVE BEEN WORKING WITH WOOD SINCE I WAS A FRESHMAN IN HIGH SCHOOL. I MOSTLY BUILD CABINETS AND FURNITURE FOR BOTH INSIDE AND OUTSIDE USE..JERRY C, FROM SOUTH CAROLINA.
Information Technology Engineering Manager for a HealthCare company.
I'm a web consultant, I design, build, maintain & manage web sites. I got my start in it because I was a store manager & webmaster for Performance Line Tool Center, but with the economy being what it is and restructuring/consolidation of the company (whereby my store was consolidated with the larger store and incidentally one of the largest in the nation, nearly 30,000 sq ft.), I am now a contractor/consultant to their website.

If you wouldn't mind, stop by their Kreg section for your Kreg tool & accessory needs (help to fund them to help me feed my need for tools LOL!).

Hey everyone! This is Stan (aka Handystanley around the house) from the San Francisco Bay Area. I currently am on staff at San Francisco State University where I manage the University Property Office. In addition to my "day job" I also am part of a workgroup for Oracle Corporation and also sit on their Oracle Usability Advisory Board. At work I am a SME (subject matter expert) for the Oracle PeopleSoft Enterprise Procurement and Asset Management modules. I am also a member of the National Property Management Association (www.npma.org) and the Institute of Supply Managment....okay...you did ask!! LOL!

I love my Kreg jig! I cannot believe how much I have used it for simple projects around the house.

Free Hand Guard (dust collection)

Hi.  I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing.  How effective is it?  It's adaptable to any router table.  Continue

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
