What's your daytime job?

Just thought I would start a discussion on woodworkers real jobs. It would be fun to no if there are lots of professional people using Kreg Jig along with people  like myself a retired  construction worker.

I am a barber by trade.  I have been tinkering with wood for some years and enjoy looking at the project after it is all finished and saying  WOW I did that!  I find working with wood relaxing and fulfilling.

I'm a pastor of a small church (last 10 years) prior to that I was a contractor doing everything from framing houses to finish work on large commercial projects. I still do small projects on the side and have yet to use my Kreg tools for any personal projects....but I will!

I'm Rob from Windsor Ontario and I am of all things a transportation engineer...ok .....I am a truck driver lol. Although I am a Kreg Jig virgin I have plans in the works that I will be applying this unique joinery too.

Hi,I am Dan from Fargo, ND.  Raised on a dairy farm in MN; several years with the US Army, college and an AF commission; then AF  time  as a C-130 Navigator  for 14 years; early retired; then went on to turn a computer hobby into a full-time job with benefits for the next 11 years.  I am now medically retired due to military service. I have had a hankering to get into woodworking since high school; only over the last 20 years have I had any chance to try it.  Now I have more time, but can't always muster the strength and endurance.  Little by little I get things done though.

   I'm John from Oklahoma. I'm a retired Building contractor in Okla. & California. I went to  Sacramento,Cali in 84 to start my own construction co. there. Tired of starving to death in Okla.  !!!!! LOL!!!!   That was when Cali still had some Money!!!    I'm a third Gen. building contractor. My Mother's Father was a building contractor back in the 20's thru the 50's in Oklahoma.  He had a big cabinet shop in Muskogee and built doors and windows for most of the older homes built here in Muskogee.  My Father was head bottler for Grapette Bottling Co.  here in Muskogee. Dad was making a whole 55. cents an hour when Grandpa talked him into becoming a Carpenter!  Dad started out at 90 Cents an HR.  

    It's hard to fathom homes being built without any power tools!!! Back in the Depression Dad said his Father-in-law would walk clear across town to work ; work Daylight to Dark then walked home!!!!   NO REALLY!!!!!!!

Jim, I'm Jim in Tennessee.  Retired Operations Manager.  Retired after 2 heart attacks and too much stress with 251 trucks and 4 aircraft to manage so I trained a couple of younger transportation graduates fron UT and I stepped down.  Been a street rodder and lost interest so I sold my 40 Chevy Coupe and got into wood working.  I really enjoy it and invent a lot of what I do.  Currently starting myself a roll top desk.  Will be placing pictures on when I get far enough along.
