What your favorite Compressor and Nailer?

I just recently bought a Porter Cable PC3Pak Finish Nailer/Brad Nailer/Stapler Compressor Combo Kit from Home Depot and it was and is love at first sight! I just may consider throwing all my hammers away and having air in the shop has opened a whole new world for me.Both nailers and the stapler are all superb. They're quiet and reliable. I am using harbor freight nails and haven't had a single jam in a few weeks of use. The depth adjustment is tool free and works very well on all three tools.What your favorite Compressor and Nailer?

I have two compressors, one 10 litre which is for trim and a 50 litre for framing. I have two brad guns, a Senco and a Milwalkee. The Senco leaks and i hate the nose on the Milwalkee. I have a Senco 15ga finish gun, a Porter-cable palm nailer and a Makita coiled framing gun.

How do you like your Porter-cable palm nailer? I was considering one for my upcoming deck project.

My Porter-Cable palm nailer is a great piece of kit, i don't use it that often but at times it's the only thing that will do the job. I only had one problem with it and that was the nose piece was overtightened in the factory and i had quite the job getting it off. The magnetic tip in the nose could be a bit stronger but apart from that it was a great buy. It comes in a really solid case with everything in it's place and a place for everything. I bought and fitted a swivel air adaptor for it which reduces hose drag.

I have a Husky 60 gallon that is in my utility room attached to my shop and it is plumbed with 2 outlets in the garage and 4 in the shop.  I also own a Black Max which I have in my other garage and I have had it for over 20 years.  I like the Black Max.  The Husky burnt itself out some how when I was in the hospital and it took 2 months to get a replacement.  The Husky sold by Home Depot says on the tag "5 year warranty"  I found out that this was only for the tank.   The compressor had only a one year warranty, very misleading.  I have a   framing nailer and 2 brad nailers and 2 palm hand nailers.  My favorite is the compact hand air nailer sold by Harbor Freight for only  $13.99 see http://www.harborfreight.com/compact-air-hand-nailer-99555.html.  I will drive a nail in 1-2 seconds and weighs about 1 pound

Wow that's a great deal on a palm nailer. I'll have to visit my local store next week.

You don't need a larger compressor to run a framing nailer. I have a Porter Cable framing nailer and I run it with the same pancake PC compressor that came with the PC 3PAK.

I'd recomend this set up to any hobbyist.

For a framing nailer, the Bostitch F21PL is great!  The main selling point for me was that you could shoot both framing and metal connector nails with one tool.  The swap over between the two is a matter of seconds.  This gun has never jammed or otherwise let me down.  As far as a brad nailer the Bostitch N62FSK has also served me well with no issues -  best part is I bought it used at a yard sell for $20!  I use a Craftsmen 3 gallon/ 1hp compressor on both of these guns and it works well -  just use care around the plastic breather.

The Senco headless brad nailer is the best gun in my set of guns.  I will never use a standard brad again.  The hole in the wood is almost invisible and with a little wood glue it will hold just as well as any brad.   This Gun is a must to attach any mouldings to your project.

Thanks John and Daniel.  I was told that the compressor didn't have the jam to sink the nail...but i'll take real experience over the hardware store propaganda anyday.
