Hi everyone, i have been so pleased with my triton routers not anymore.Having problems with the table mounted 3 1/4 hp model. Noticed the auto collett lock not been engaging properly ,and the micro winder been a bit stiff.So took it out the table blew it out with the airline, done every thing the manual suggested result it aint working.Waiting too hear back from the supplier i bought it from 10 months ago, reckon it will be off too triton uk lost without it.Any ideas anyone.

Hey Mick, you got the blues huh. Well them tritons are still great routers. I know that they first came out with nylon gearing that stripped and caused a lot of trouble with the winders on these routers. The have a service bulletin out that tells you about the problem and they are sending you replacement metal gears. May that is your problem. you might take it apart and look. for stripped gears and pieces of nylon that is locking it up.
That would be the first thing I would look at.

Thanks for your offer on the router ,as of yet no reply from silverline tools service centre yeovil.This is where if i understand right silverline tools the distriubtor for my triton router are based.If not heard back by monday will have too find there phone number and call.I was a bit disappointed with triton as the router only 10 months old,as does not get hard use.Futhermore cost me the equilvant of $40 to post too the yeovil service centre,is it a common problem with triton routers the rise and fall mechanisams?Let you know how i get on.
