Kreg Owners' Community

Good day,

I had to find a way to hold a shelf in between the 4 tapered legs of a table, in slots made on the inside of the legs.

I made a jig to hold the shelf on my Kreg system so the shelf would be held at the right angle and place on the system.

This is the result of the hole under the shelf

Then I was able to put the shelf in the leg slot and hold it in place with Kreg system

The jig could have been made ajustable to accomodate different witdth of shelf ends

Thank you!

Great idea, Alain! Thanks for posting this creative solution! Are you happy with the strength of the final result?
Yes, but it is not bomb proof, with regular use, there should not be any problems, if not, I should use an other method
I would think it should be pretty darn strong. One screw alone is going to hold many pounds, so four should easily hold up anything you'd place on it. You could probably almost stand on it. Great idea.
