I like the look of the new Shelf Pin Drilling Jig, but I have a question as to whether it fully supports the "Euro" 32mm system.

Standard "Euro" cabinet design calls for the shelf pin holes to be 32mm apart, 5mm in diameter, with a 37mm setback from the front edge.  The jig has 32mm spacing and the 5mm bit is available as an option. However, I only see Kreg referencing a 1" and/or 2" setback.  It's really critical to have a 37mm setback as well since mounting plates for Euro hinges utilize those shelf pin holes.

Does anyone know whether the jig has an undocumented 37mm setback option as well?

The Shelf Pin Jig Instructions lists the two setback options are 1 inch (2.54 cm) and 2 inches (5.08 cm) ... you switch between them by flipping between the two edges of the jig.

You can download the instructions (Product Manual) from http://www.kregtool.com/Shelf-Pin-Jig-Prodview.html

If you need a 37 mm setback, then it would seem that you could use the 1 inch (25.4 mm) side of the jig and then create a 11.6 spacer with a "lip" to hook on the edge of the material.

The kit apparently comes with a 1/4" bit. The 5 mm drill bit needs to be purchased separately.

It looks like the locating pin is stepped - I wonder if it has both 1/4" diameter and 5mm diameter, but the material doesn't specify this information.

Free Hand Guard (dust collection)

Hi.  I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing.  How effective is it?  It's adaptable to any router table.  Continue

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
