Looks a lot like an improved version of the ACCU-RIP that Sears Craftsman and Home Depot used to sell.

I understand moderating a forum, but you CANNOT censor peoples opinions if they are not in breech of your online forum policies!

I made some guesses before the reveal date, and just because i was right, you deleted my post.

But more importantly you have systematically deleted ANY post from anyone that voices disapproval of this new product...

i like the idea of this jig and will buy one. i notice some tear out in the third pic above and it has me thinking about a zero clearance insert between the 'fingers' of the jig...

i have a table saw, but HATE HATE HATE it for the first cuts on plywood, it's just too unwieldy - this jig allows the tool to be brought to the wood, seems much safer and with more control to me

I think maybe there are a lot of people here trying to justify their track saw purchase by slamming this inexpensive alternative by Kregg.

If you already have a table/trac saw, then don't worry about it. For those who don't have one, this will be perfect. I'll buy one two for making rip cuts on the jobsite. Don't have to worry about idiot assistants dropping my expensive portable table saw.

A lot of us can't afford table saws, or track saws! If this tool gets you anywhere close to the rip cutting quality of those, tools, it's a no brainer! 

Personally, I have a table saw, but I'm definitly getting 1 of these so I can cut things down to rough size before making the final cut on the table saw. I may be getting a little old but dammit mdf is heavy.

I get it if this tool doesn't fit everyone's needs, but I can think of a lot of people that it would be perfect for people who don't have the space or money for the alternatives.

this is great little tool i have the bora long guide clamp now and i love it it is easy to adjust and my cuts are dead on when i am cutting sheet goods down to manageable sizes for making shelves and cabinets. I like this idea it should be quick and if it works as well as my other Kreg tools i will try it out and hopefully i am not wasting a 120 dollar sheet of walnut or cherry plywood

Heck you can make one with a piece of 1/4" hardboard 4" wide by any length you need and a piece 10 or12" wide. Glue the 4" on top of the wide piece straight edge facing in. Then run your saw down the 4" piece cutting of the rest. Now you have a  jig made for that saw. Just line up the edge you just cut with your marks and cut away. I have a 4' and a 8' one to cut my sheet goods to size. Use spring clamps to hold the jig in place.

For the price, great option!  I'm extremly happy with the 4-5 Kreg products I own,  seem to think of almost everything! I have a tracksaw so won't be a buyer on this one. 

Suggestions: 

• If you had an optional router plate to make this a dual purpose tool,  I might add it into my shop!  I know there are some out on the market but as a brand loyalist, even without the current need I would pick one up just in case.
• I also value the zero clearance of my tracksaw to help with chip out,  that could be a very inexpensive product enhancement,  add a roll of clear rubbery plastic with adhesive on one side to stick on the underside of the blade slot.

The Wood Working Shows start in Milwaukee tomorrow and I'll be there for sure. I hope to learn more about this new jig from the Kreg representative at their booth. Cutting full sheets of plywood has always been one of the most frustrating things in the shop. Using a clamped straight edge is the only way I've done it and although that seems to work I also think this would be a much better system. The price surprises me.....very reasonable.

I like it but the comments on starting a cut are a good point.  Maybe if it extended out a little more.  But when I cut with my circular saw I am very careful so I am thinking it may not be that much of an issue. And $35 is a very reasonable price.

Sorry but I would have to use it frist and I will have to go with the others about the start piont. As for me I liked the shelf pin jig batter and they dont sale them down here yet why cant you all sen one to some one in the group that does alote of sheet work and lets see what they say and no one from DIY ether?

What I've always like about Kreg Products is that they attempt to limit inaccuracies in measuring.  I see you set this jig at your measurement and can produce accurate repetitive cuts.  My challenge to Kreg is solve the dust collection delimma.  I'd be more apt to use circular saws if I had a way to control the saw dust.

Also, how about an extension to rip 4x8 panel into equal 4 foot pieces?
