I agree that the guide looks simple and easy to use - and it is fairly priced too! that price makes it easy to add to the tool chest.

One thing that strikes me as I look at the photographs (see #7) - the weight of the saw being suspended across the span by your arm can pose a possible injury. If your saw weighs 7 pounds, that's really 7o pounds of weight (pressure on your back) you are suspending and controlling as you make the cut. Now add the rip-guide to the weight plus manage the wood with your other hand... we have to be careful.  Still, it looks like a great addition to the crib.

Nice Idea BUT I think you should have made the side guide block longer and centered on the bar; like a T-Square.

I agree, it looks ok once the saw cuts into the panel but possibly difficult to get started accurately. Wonder how long it will take to reach the UK?

Is there a video of actual use?  All the pictures show the saw half way through the panel.  I'd like to see one at the start of the panel, as only 1-2" of the guide piece will be touching the side of the panel.  Not very stable.

Seems like no more unstable than a regular rip guide.

This thing looks like a joke...pretty bad for a Kreg tool. A t-square out of wood works as well. Cheaper too. I hope this is an April 1st joke from Kreg.

SURE WISH THAT I HAD THIS TWO YEARS AGO WHEN I WAS BUILDING MY CAMPER.  Did most of the build using a jigsaw and an OLD pour quality table saw.   This looks like it will do the job for those without the space for a table saw.   I look forward to trying it in person.

On the surface this looks like a great tool. But I see three things that need to be addressed:

First is that the guide will only give you a good cut with a factory edge. If there are any errors from previous tools or other mishaps they will telegraph into the new cut.

The second is the 24 inch limit. Sometimes you need a 4 foot piece. Kreg could fix this with an add-on rail, either attached with flush mount screws or some kind of quick release clamp.

Thirdly is cutting angles. Ie: when doing roofing or other puzzle piece type work one may need to cut a 45o angle in the middle of a 4x8 sheet.

So I think Kreg should work on this some more and release an up grade solving these problems before next year.

By the way I am very happy with all my Kreg tools and jig components.
