Has anyone ever had any experience with buying any of the factory refurbished tools that are for sale on Ebay, Amazon or any other of the tool outlets that are online.
They are alot less money than purchasing new, But I wonder if the quality is the same

I live near the TTI distribution center -Ryobi and Ridgid. The have this big sale about every 3 months with reconditioned and sometimes new power tools. I've bought a ton of both and have no complaints with the reconditioned items. My planer went up in smoke and I took it to the local repair center. Got it back in 2 weeks after a warranty repair and it has been fine since then. Nailers, drills, saws, sanders, you name it. The items I buy appear to be new. Also bought a Bostitch brad nailer from Amazon and as of today it has never jammed or misfired - knock on wood.

've bought a DeWalt jig saw. It works fine, you just have to double check what comes with it. sometimes little attachments that would normally come with a brand new one might missing, but the basic working function of the too is fine.

Besides tools I even go a step further and have my cordless batteries rebuilt
http://www.voltmanbatteries.com/servlet/StoreFrontThere are those who buy the most expensive (tools or anything else) because of the myth that the more you spend the better it is.
Is the gasoline we buy today better than the gasoline we bought ten years ago?
Are the services we get from our government, local or national, better now that we spend more on taxes?
I like to judge my purchases and spending on value, and reconditioned tools, when available and done right, generally provide more service for the dollars spent than their equivalent new counterparts...
CAn you tell me where you get your batteries rebuilt and aprox cost to rebuild 12-18 volts

Hey Joe,
It's near greenville, SC. They don't have anything on the web. Super deals. They average a little over 60% discount from HD for the refurbished Ryobi or Ridgid tools. The new tools are about 50% off. Last month I picked up a Ridgid compact jigsaw, RO sander, super clamp and a 23 gauge nailer. Also another Ryobi drill with 2 batteries and charger. They will have another sale in June. I usually leave with my SUV full. It's a blast!

Hi. I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing. How effective is it? It's adaptable to any router table. Continue

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
