I am at wits end with this.. Last night it was out of square on the left side about a 1/16th and this morning I swapped the fence boards over and I am off 1/32 on the other side.. I removed the fence and all the hardware and checked it all over but I never noticed anything unusual. The reason I am so finicky is I am cross routing finger joints with the miter guage and it is not doing a good job especially that I am using this for trim..

By "out of square" do you mean it is not parallel to the miter track? I'm assuming that's what you mean but want to make sure. I haven't got that system but as a workaround until you figure it out, you can either shim the fence faces or, if you can defeat the clamping system, use clamps to make it parallel and hold it there. Another suggestion for the trim is to switch to a half lap instead of a finger joint.

John, it is not parallel to the miter track. Shimming defeats the purpose of a precision router table. I was able to tweak it a little more on the table mounted slide on the right hand side. The screws that hold the aluminum angle to the table.  I also found that the fence faces are bowed and I cant tighten the face screws enough to take it out. I believe these are not made out of MDF but out of particle board and with the fence not being square to the miter slot there are too many variables to make it square.

Also on the half lap instead of finger joint, I paid quite a (Freud) bit for this bit so I could salvage my waste. There is no slop in the joint (well a little due to not being square) and with glue it make for an great joint.  I did email KREG last night and I am waiting to hear back from them.  I was hoping that someone would have this same issue and it would be an easy fix.

Hi Gregg - I know about the finger joint, use it myself on occasion.... gives a great glue surface.

I shyed away from that table just because of the fence. I guess I'm cynical or something but I wanted the fence to clamp down where I want it not where it wants to go. So far I've only used the miter guage and fence together doing half lapped miter joints for picture frames. I'll be stopping that as soon as I get a miter sled put together for the table.

Good luck, hope you hear back from Kreg soon.

I have fixed the issue with my table. Please pay close attention to the rail mounting screws and the 4 screws that hold the fence on the rail side. You can get quite a bit of adjustment enough to make everything square again.  I want to thank Dan Fisher of Kreg for helping me out and sending out new faceboards.
