Need some help with ash wood

Hello all Dave here has anyone here worked with Ash wood this is the first time I’ve worked with it but some people say its like soft maple but I’m use to oak and pine but my question is what screws to use .
I keep 1 1/4 fine and 1 1/4 coarse washer head #2 screws in the wood shop so I would like the input.

I have built a king size bed with Ash but I did not own a pocket jig at the time. Ash sands real nice and if left natural with a clear it it is like Oak with a wider grain throughout.ohttp://kregjig.ning.com/forum/topics/need-some-help-with-ash-wood#ver

Thanks Jens but I thank I'll stick with Oak I have batter luck with it but I got the grand daughter's christmas done.
