I have a sliding compound miter saw and it is hard to control sawdust with it. I have a shroud and a vac hook up, but it is still very messy. Because of slide it has to be deep and at an angle on each side. Does anyone have and suggestions for improvements?

Cecil,
Not much one can do without an elaborate system hookup with an overhead dust vac extractor.
You'll need a big unit for this.
Slides saws do generate lots of dust, and it can get all over the shop.
When using this saw, I move it outside the shop, and do my cutting there.
I hook a vac to the port on the saw,
as well as use a shroud on the back of the unit.
It does okay; however probably only catches about 60% of the sawdust.
I have my miter-slide saw mounted on a mobile stand/cart.
Swivel locking wheel brakes.
Works for me.

Hi. I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing. How effective is it? It's adaptable to any router table. Continue

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
