After I got home and looked at the package my micro came in...5/8 was the collar setting i have been using. I tried to upload some pictures but they would not upload. The 3/4 screws still come out off center and slightly go through the workpiece when assembled. It looks like if the screw was centered it would not come through the piece. If Kreg will send me an email address I will try to email the pictures to them...

I'm sorry for the experience that you have had with our company and would like to sincerely apologize. As far as the issue you are experiencing with the Micro Jig I was curious if you were setting your depth collar for 5/8"? Due to your message we started looking and noticed that the special instructions for working with 1/2" material was left out of some units. If you received one of these that did not have the instructions, you would not be made aware of the small change that needs to be made when working with this material hence causing the problem you are encountering. Setting your depth collar to the 5/8" setting and using the 3/4" screw you should have the desired results and not have any other problems. If this is not the case please let us know.
I'd suggest that the screws, be orientated so they point ''inward''---
away from the edge, of the work piece.
Works for me.
Tony,
If you could supply pictures that would be great. Send them to dfisher@kregtool.com.
I would be interested in seeing these pictures as well. Please post if possible.
Dorald I will try again later....my computer ran all night last night trying to upload two pictures and they never did finish....

I emailed these two you...the pictures look better than what you seen with the naked eye...If I try to change the collar depth to prevent the screw from going into the other piece, the head sticks to far out to plug or cover up....

I am also having this issue and wanted to know if there is an update to how to resolve this issue.
Does anyone know if Kreg plans to come out with a *right angle Clamp* for the Micro Jig. My right angle clamp end is too large to fit in the holes that a micro jig makes.
Funny because most "1/2" wood is not 1/2 inch when you measure it.
what kind of drill are you using? New ? old? bent shaft? Check out all these things.

I recently purchased this Jig, August 2012) and needless to say I a have found the same issue. I have been creating sawdust (& "Bulldust) for several decades, but only recently became aware of the range of Kreg products.
I have been very impressed with the variety of equipment available from Kreg, and have my eye on several of your products, however after running into this problem with my first purchase, I am having to rethink wether I will purchase anything else. How many other issues will I encounter, with your products????
As this is a known issue, I would have expected to see "Special Instructions" included in the package.
With The master jig system (regular size bit) I have had no issues with
I have owed the regular size bit system for 3 years.
However with the micro, the jig needs to be redesigned by kreg
the angle of the jig needs to be decreased
by somewhere in the range of 5 degrees (more or less)

Hi. I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing. How effective is it? It's adaptable to any router table. Continue

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
