Laptop table plans?

Has anyone built a table for a laptop computer that can be used while sitting in a living room chair or on the couch, along the lines of a TV tray table?

I am getting a laptop for my wife who has a physical handicap and I want to make something so she can use the laptop while sitting on the couch without having to bend over to reach the computer on the coffee table.
