Hi Colin - Sure, no reason it wouldn't. You will need to drill holes in the plate to match your router base to mount it. I actually prefer a fixed base in the table. If you have the kit with both the fixed and plunge base, I would recommend you mount the fixed base in the table and keep the plunge base for hand held work. That way you just need to pop the motor out of one base and into the other to change modes. If you do use the plunge base, you may want to remove the springs so you don't have to fight them when setting bit height. Alternatively, you could look into the Kreg Precision lift but there is another couple hundred dollars involved there.

Hi James - Yeah, router workshop pushes the "mimalist" approach to routing. Those guys are wizards though. Could probably put out stuff I can only dream about with a dull pocket knife. I like the miter slots and t-tracks for hanging the accessories; jigs, featherboards, etc, on. They use the Oak Park table.. None of the extra stuff, even the fence is clamped in place. I think the only thing extra on the table is a couple of holes to mount the Oak park box joint jig. I think they also use the large, 1-1/2", guide bushings also.

I think one reason they use plunge routers is they are running 3+ HP  and the Milwaukee is the only large router I'm aware of that comes in a fixed base configuration.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
