Kreg PR 1040 Table

I am thinking of buying the Kreg router table.

 

Just one thing concerns me. The out-feed fence appears to have a fixed adjustment via the rods.

 

Have you any experience of this and does it cause any practicable problems?

Had the table for several months now and the fixed fence has not been a problem. In fact I like it.

Chris, not sure I know what you mean by 'fixed' adjustment, other than the fact that there are only two settings that it can be set at. These are pretty much standard settings, but definitely not as much flexibility as a regular jointer.

I've owned my now for about 5 weeks and have to admit I'm very impressed. Not sure what you mean by fixed adjustment via the rods, the rods I have are for turning it into a mini jointer of sorts, never tried it myself as I have a jointer and planer. As for the fence system, all I can say is it's dead on accurate. I always found it a challenge to line up my old fence, with this system and the micro adjuster it's a breeze. My only complaint? not enough time to use it!

After purchasing my first Kreg jig (small one) I was hooked, now I own several of their products, in fact I just picked up the Crown Molding Jig this afternoon.
