Kreg Owners' Community

Hello from Australia,

Been woodworking for many years but it's only recently I purchased the K4 Master System.Looking forward to getting some dust on the jig & after working around it, I am a little puzzled with these markings indicated below. Can't work out their purpose or where they index from/to. Any advice would be appreciated.

Regards

Greg

i think they are center marks for the indicated thickness, when the drill bit is placed in the center guide, the tip should be at the center mark for the material you are using if everything is set right

Thanks Tom, another great Kreg feature.

Doug, I'm about 4 hours from home & the following photo is the only other one I have on the phone

Hi Greg,

What did you use for the nice work in filling in the markings so that they are easier to see?

BTW, regarding the markings you asked about, Tom is correct.  That and a few other tips about the Kreg K4 were covered in the Kreg Plus newsletter a few months ago  http://www.kregtool.com/files/Newsletters/KregPlus/october11.asp

Thanks for the newsletter link, great info. I used equal parts of flour and water.Check the FAQ'S here

As another member stated, wait a little while for the paste to dry and the white will brighten up

Free Hand Guard (dust collection)

Hi.  I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing.  How effective is it?  It's adaptable to any router table.  Continue

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
