I recently added the Kreg XL jig to my collection of awesome Kreg tools. My question: When joining a a 2x4 to a 4x4 using 4” XL screws, I should attached the jig to the 2x4 and set it to the 2x4 setting, correct?
Thanks in advance for the advice!

If its like mine the XL only has one setting.

There are 2 settings: first for 2x4 and the second for 4x4.

Yes, you're right! When using the Kreg XL jig to join a 2x4 to a 4x4, you should attach the jig to the 2x4 and set it to the 2x4 setting. This way, you ensure that the jig is properly aligned for the screws to securely join the two pieces. The Kreg jig settings will help you drill the correct depth and angle for the screws, ensuring a strong connection between the 2x4 and 4x4.
