Hello, My name is John and I live in Niceville, FL. I am beginner who has very limited wood working / tool skill.

I just recently purchased the Kreg jig.  Trying to decide what to try my hand at first.

My name is George, I am from a small community in south west Missouri.  I have been working wood for about forty years and I began using the Kreg system several years back when it first became available.  I build a few cabinets as well as furniture and many other projects for myself and professionally.  I joined this Community because I always enjoy seeing what others can build.  Many of my creations are developed from things I see on this and other sites.  I am sending photos of a ceiling that I put in my basement home.  The ceiling is constructed using the Kreg system and is held up the same as a suspended ceiling.  There are over four hundred and eighty screws in this ceiling.  The ceiling is in a 16' x16' living room and also a hallway that is 25' in length and five feet wide, which has over three hundred screws and is suspended the same as the living room.  I hope you enjoy the photos and idea as much as I did building it.

Hello my Jason and I live in South Texas. I haven't done many major woodworking projects in quite awhile. Finally working to get a shop put together to get a few started. Last couple weeks purchased my Kreg jig and finished my first project. Wow and it turned out great.

Looking forward to meeting others in the community and learning new Kreg jig projects to do.

Hi Tim
You have some nice projects there.
You are right about practice. However in my case I am not sure. Often I get it right first time and then proceed to get worse.

I don't shoot for perfection because of knowing that wood is flawed. When selecting wood, I try to get acceptable pieces so that the outcome will be the best that it can be. This can be a task in itself since the quality of wood does not seem to be as good as it used to be. I have chosen to use pine wood in my project making since I'm doing this as a hobby. I've created a facebook group page to display pictures of my builds as well as sell them. Thank you for the compliment. I'm working on my next project. It's one that I designed myself. My plan is to have it done sometime tomorrow. If it's complete, I'll be posting a picture of it on Pine Creations by tomorrow night.

Small world Paul. I live in a 3 light town up in WI. called Watertown, but just last week came back form visiting my sons family in Chunchula. We come down that way at least once every year. PS / Cheapos has great pizza.
