The easiest way to check for square is to measure the diagnals. If they're equal, your box or frame is square.  Good luck!

Hello I am Michael Edwards, and I just bought my Kreg Jig last week. This coming weekend I plan to attach the skirts to legs for the base of my shadow box wine cork end tables. I have never built furniture before, so am a bit nervous about how to ensure these bases are square when I get done. Does anyone have any tips?

Hi Guys.

My name is neil. I am originally from Queens, N.Y. now residing in roanoke , va. where I came to retire. I have been interested in woodworking for a while now but for one reason or another couldn't devote the time needed but I just purchased my first jig and I am starting to enjoy myself. i am currently looking for projects to work on.

Oh yeah- I forgot to mention I owned and operated a full blown wood shop for 12 years in Escondido, California, near San Diego.  We serviced 17+- stores in north county with wood products.  The stores were Tole Painting stores.  They would order wood products for their students to paint on.  We made chimney cabinets, small wooden sleds, ornaments and too many things to list here.  I do like woodworking and will continue making lots of pens and anything else the family needs.  One of my last projects was a computer desk;  now the Kreg Jig would have really been handy for that, now I have one for the next project.  Keep posting good stuff.  Denvy

Hello, this is a picture of typical things that I make.  Including Ink Pens, bowls.  Obviously the Kreg Kit is for me a wana have, just in case.  Projects requested by family would have been much easier with a Kreg Kit, so I traded some work for a new Kit.  Worked out just fine.  I made two sour-crout stompers and two sets of pens and pencils and my friend gave me a New Kreg Kit.  Still in the box, maybe some day I will need it enough to open the box and get it going.  Nice Form, keep posting the good ideas.  Denvy

Hello Everyone, I'm Mike from central Florida. I've been  a DIY'er for many years. I like projects no matter what the material. Love making all dust. Used my new  Kreg jig on my latest project. WOW  it made it easy.
I do not see any "Snow Caps" in there? I loved those candies!
This is my larger desk done with 90% pocket screws. Made everything so easy and strong. The drawer sides are 1/2 maple and I used the jig to make the deeper one 2 pieces of 1/2x6 cut down to 10 1/2". I found however that with 1/2" stock it was better to use biskets so the pocket fillers won't show. The legs are 8/4 maple I got the piece from woodcrafters in Manchester, Ct. $66 8feet long by 9 S2S. Labor of love for the grandkids.

That is a nice looking desk.  Lots of storage for them.

I have alwasy wanted to make a rolled top desk.   Maybe one of these days.  Looks good finished.
Thanks this is my fourth one since 1981. they are all different. The Kreg jig makes it very easy to build.

Hello, My name is Mario and I live NW North Carolina, I started woodworking at the age of 11, making toys and small furniture. also build and repaird boats done cabinet work and house remodeling.

Getting ready to remodel a hitchen cabinet, thats why i get the Kreg tool.

Thnaks for the welcome.  Why did Kreg change the manufacturer for their pocket screws?  The older ones had a thinner shaft, better machined and held the square drive better.  The square drive slips out of the new screws and rounds he driver quite rapidly.  Are the older screws still manufactured and is there a source them

Thanks

Free Hand Guard (dust collection)

Hi.  I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing.  How effective is it?  It's adaptable to any router table.  Continue

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
