I recently built an 8 foot long entertainment center that has 4 different doors for electronic equipment. Well, I built it maybe 8 months ago, but now want to complete it 100%. I need to place some lights inside each cabinet door, the door is framed stained glass. With the lighting inside the cabinet, it should really make the stained glass pop for a great look. Any one have any experience on what kind of "inexpensive" lights to place in a cabinet/entertainment center and where I can purchase them, (Home Depot, Lowes, Woodcraft stores). I think one of my concerns is the actual heat the unit puts out. I have holes bored in the back for heat to escape, but still a concern. ideally there will be a total of 4 lighs, one in each compartment. Another concern is can the lighting unit be angled torwards the stained glass window. Help? Adivce and insight? Thank you in advance.

Hi John. I'm new here, but "old" to electronics. If you don't want heat, LED is the way to go. Both Lowes and Home Depot have a small selection of LED under-cab lighting. Or, if you do "Google" search for LED's, you'll see many on-line options. They tend to be a bit more expensive initially, than other styles of lighting, but they last forever . . . and no heat.
Artie, Thanks. I didn't know that about LED and no heat output.

Free Hand Guard (dust collection)

Hi.  I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing.  How effective is it?  It's adaptable to any router table.  Continue

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
