I watched the setup videos, searched for information and spent half a day and can not get the clamp to hold.
i tightened up the screws underneath in various stages up to fully tightened, makes no difference.
I do not get the two clicks and I can slide the clamp back without using the grey push tab.
Then in I noticed the teeth slant backwards and this makes no sense to me, as nothing would offer resistance to the clamp then. Can someone check theirs for me and let me know if they are the same? I can only come up with , mine are installed wrong way round.

Yes the teeth should be towards the clamp. One may have slipped thru the cracks at Kreg. Not an unheard of ordeal with a company that produces so much product. I'm certain they will remedy your situation post haste.
Thanks. I will just return it to where I bought it and get another.
Things happen. I have the setup table which is great and just about to use the Accu cut I bought, so happy with the brand in general.
I'm sure they will let you open the next box before you leave with it just to double check it.
They did, we just swapped over the main unit and I was on my way. Definitely installed backwards, but I have one that locks now, so am happy again. I bought a newish home that has no wardrobe shelves or hangers etc, and plan to build them all myself as a first project, and is why I bought the Kreg stuff. I could easily make it from melamine, but I am not a fan and not convinced pocket holes would work so well in that material, but least I could avoid painting !
So I bought this K5 some time back in anticipation of doing them and am looking forward to the job

I've been using my Adaptive Cutting System table for a few years now, and it's been really solid. This past week was the first time I ever needed to use the miter guide though.I was rebuilding some shelving in a tiny closet and I discovered the…Continue

I am building a small trunk for a military friend to put some belongings in. I have made legs out of ash hardwood and will make the sides out of 1/2” or 3/4” Baltic birch plywood. The legs are 1.5” thick by 2” wide. So since I’m drilling pockets in…Continue

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…

Several months ago, I purchased the Kreg K4MS so that I could build the Lego Table as outlined on the companion "buildsomething" web site which exclusively uses pocket hole construction. I have considerable experience with conventional…
