Kreg Owners' Community

Hi, I am looking to purchase a Kreg deck jig to toe screw one side of the EON deckboards that I am installing (the side that is against another deckboard, not the open side) and wondered if the kreg screws and deck jig are useable on the EON deckboards. You can see a cross section of the board at http://eonoutdoor.com/decking_products/decking_deckboard.jpg althoug hte picture is small. The board is not solid, but i think it may still work. Has anyone out there tried Kregg on EON yet???

Thanks,

Nelson

Nelson, great question! I think I found a little bit better photo of the material you're talking about:

Based on the design, unfortunately I do not think this would work with the Kreg Deck Jig. The hollow center and the notch on the side would leave the deck screws too little amount of material to "sink it's teeth into." The notch in particular I think eliminates this material as a possibility for use with the Deck Jig.
