My brother wanted to build some bunk beds for his great-great grandkids.
He started his family early as did he's kids and the kids, kids,
anyway since I am an electrician by trade or was until I retired I wanted to help and also use my new Kreg-jig.
He showed me how then allowed me to run a router, yep 68 years old and I have never run a router before.
The person we were building them for wanted two seperate "loft Beds" I call them bunk beds.
we made the legs out of 4X4s the sides from 2X6s and slats from 2X4s over kill I know
To fasten the 2X6s and the 2X4s into a frame we used my Kreg-Jig and wood glue it worked beautifuly.
I went away for a weekend and when I returned we were out of 2 1/2 inch screws so off to Lowe's for a couple boxes.
They are handy but costly, I decided to order some from the internet when I ordered the screws I thought we had another frame to complete unbeknownest to me my brother had completed it while I was gone so unless I build another ARK I have a life time supply of screws at least 2 1/2 inch ones.
the beds turned out just like she wanted after sanding and staining the kids now have their own bed.
sorry I never took any pictures. I know they are only bunk-beds but they allowed me and my brother to work together again since we built his house 20 years ago. He suffers with COPD and spinal-stenious I to suffer with spinal-stenious it took us weeks to do what we use to do in the evening after work.
I did order a router 68 but still willing.

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
