Bookshelf Plan From Kreg

I am about to make the basic bookshelf from the plan from the Kreg tool website.

I just have one question about the step below.

12. Now you can fasten the top with 11⁄4" screws
through the case top from inside.

Are they instructing you to fasten the top with screws straight  into the top or using

pocket holes? If they want you to use pocket holes I don't see where they are in the plans.

Because the bookcase top (G) gets attached face-to-face to the case top (B), you can't use pocket screws there. Just attach the top from underneath by screwing through (B) into (G) You can still use 1 1/4" pocket screws. They'll penetrate 1/2" into the top (G).
