Hi mark have you checked that the plate is flat?I know it sounds obvious but my brother who is a motor mechanic allways says, just because its a new part does not mean it will work correctly.Undo the levellers underneath and start again, when i bought my kreg router table i put the plate in and deliberately left it above the table. Then i got a good straight edge and lowered the plate ,just a few turns at a time on each leveller in a clockwise direction .Hope this helps ,if not refer to the kreg rep go steady.

Mark,

I agree with Michael in checking the plate to make sure that it is flat.  I would hate for you to go through numerous steps when that is the issue.  If this is the case please let us know and we would be more than happy to send you a replacement.  If this is not the case, the best solution is to adjust the plate so that it is a little bit above the table and then slowly adjust down each corner until it is flush.  You can then tighten down your placement screws in the corner to lock your position.  If you have any other questions please let us know.
