I have a similar but not exactly the same its one long length which clamps firmly on the material the saw rides in a groove similar.
Works well, care in transporting it is requires to prevent damage
My son has a similar unit in two parts ad it has rubber grips underneath mde by Makita for their saw
It work well from my experience, not sure of the costs, but mine was not cheap ($300 or there abouts)
