Best way to build an apron for a small table using Kreg system.

I'm building a child's table for my grandson for his 2nd birthday.  I've built the top out of maple because it's a harder wood.  NOTE: I wanted to use hardwood versus just one piece of plywood so that I could learn how to build solid wood table tops.

I finished putting together the table top today and it looks good (nice and flat) but now I'm trying to figure out the best way to make the apron.  First of all, even though I used maple on for the top I'm thinking about using pine on the apron and legs (just so they match up better together).  I was going to use maple for the apron but then I wasn't sure what to make the legs out of.

At any rate, what do you suggest is the best way to build the apron/leg section.  I was planning on using the Kreg system for this assembly as well as fastening the apron to the table top.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Jeff
