I have been using the Automaxx 6" clamp for two plus years, and recently the clamp is impossible to close the handles to secure the work and my jig. I cannot close the handles no matter how much pressure I can exert. I open the clamp to max to reset the clamp and continue with a number of successive open and closing. Finally, I can close the handle with little pressure. However, this is a one shot deal and the next use goes back to a point where I cannot close the handle. In short, I cannot use the clamp and have to resort to a non-Kreg clamp.
I have used the adjustment feature in both directions to no avail. Is there an issue with the spring inside the turn screw located inside the handle? Can this clamp be repaired, and if not, perhaps replaced. I am an amateur woodworker and this clamp has not been overused in any fashion.
Greatly appreciate any feedback and assistance to help remedy the problem.
Thanks in advance.

I had a similar issue with an Automaxx clamp. I looked up the information online and called Kreg's customer service department. They were very nice and very helpful. They replaced the clamp free of charge.

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
