Both are good... to me the issue is how long you plan on owning it... Ridge Brand is now owned by Home Depot. They private labeling someones product. Does not mean it's not a good product. Biggest issue to me is repair parts someday in the future. I've got a Bosh Jig saw, (which is probably the bet Jig saw in the world). I dropped it and broke the guide. Went on line to Bosh and was amazed at the availability of every part, and their on-line parts guide. Yes, Ridge has a lifetime warrenty, but try to buy a part from a Ridge tool that is 10 years old. HD will send it in somewhere, they will repair it, or send you a replacement unit ( which may not be bad, if you can afford the down time.) I would also look at the Delta and probably Dewalt

Let me restate who owns Ridige.... offically Ridige Tools is part of Emerson. This is the professional plumming tools products that have been around for 100 years. HD has a exclusive marketing agreement to use the RIDIGE name on a lot of other products that are all private labled for them. I was think of TTI ( whom HD owns) includes Ryobi®, Milwaukee® and AEG® power tools, DreBo® carbide drill bits, Homelite® and Ryobi® outdoor power equipment and Royal®, Dirt Devil®, Regina® and VAX® floor care appliances.. I believe TTI builds some of the Ridige branded power tools.
Does not mean they are not good products... just be aware of what your buying. I've used Milwaukee for years, when they got bought out ( about 5 years ago) the marketing people really expanded the name into many other "Milwaukee" branded products, which was outside of the main line professional tools.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
