I tore out this old fireplace....

Fabulous. Just what I want to do. The corner cabinets must have been
a bear to design and build. Any advice?
Do you a over-the-stove vent built into your microwave?

You must be very proud of your finished accomplishment.

This is an after photo of my kitchen renovation. I made my first set of cabinets.

The bottom corner cabinet is a standard size. The top corner cabinet is about two inches smaller width wise than a standard wall corner cabinet. I layed out my measurements on a sheet of 3/4" sandply and then cut out the corner cabinet base with a circular saw and straightedge. I switched to a jig saw for the last little bit of the inside corner. Then traced the bottom panel and cut that piece for the top. I used a flush cut bit on my router to clean up anything. After that you need two sides and some nailing stripps. Hope this will help get you started. I can take pics, measurements, what ever you need.

The microwave is not vented outside.

Not there are any pocket holes in this (all mortise and tennon), but this was my first decent project I completed. I've done some larger things with wood, but seeing as I did the upholstery on this too it is my stand out favourite project at this time.
looks great

John,
Good looking poker table. We had a problem of 10 guys trying to get around a 8 sided table, so I changed some plans and built a ten sided table.

Turned out well.

Those kitchen cabinets just look like they are done by some professional. Good job. I have searched for more cabinetry designs if anyone is interested they can look here. Once again I have got to say, great job on those kitchen cabinets.

Wow, some impressive works being posted!  Mine is this flag box as a memorial to my brother-in-law.  It was one of the more complex things I made to this point and it got me back into woodworking after a very long hiatus.

This is the flag that was presented to my Brother In Law by the local VFW when John was laid to rest. His Daughter,, my Wife,, chose the Quilted Maple & the background cloth. I merely had the honor of putting it all together. The shop was oddly quiet each day I worked on it. Even had a few sweaty eye moments doing this for my BIL.

This sofa table I made for my wife. It was the first thing I made for her.
