Lhaso Apso Mailbox

I made this mailbox in memory of my precious Lhaso Apso. This is my first attempt and used my old mailbox. It is a functioning mailbox. I used the Kreg Jig to attach the pieces. Hope you like it. :)

Hi Jay,

thank you for the wonderful comments.  I did have trouble drilling thru the metal front plate of the mailbox to attach the wooden head.  LOL   I sort of just made it up as I went along.  I like the way it turned out and I will always remember my precious baby girl.  :)  Thank you for the feedback as it is always nice to know what others think of the work that I have done.  thanks again for taking the time to let me know.

Hi Lorrie, well I finally find that someone build and posted something on here that took some imagination and thinking as well as some skill.  Excellent job on figuring out how to attack the mail box to the wood features in a way that still resembles a well made mail box as well as your intended design of your puppy.  This is a very nice touch to make a lasting memory of your dog as I am sure your neighbors and family have seen your dog enough to see the resemblance of your mail box and your departed friend.  I note that your art work is well done too showing some talent in design and artistry.  Like the 3D feature of the face and the way the ears extend out as if in real life.  The final touch is the tail which reminds me of a friendly dog waiting to greet you and the mailman.  Great idea and you did this with out a plan.  Well executed and a great idea.
