I'm a retired Lt.from the Mass. Dept of Corrections where I was employed as a prison employee for 29 years. Upon my retirement I set up a woodshop and am teaching myself though books and internet sites the skills of woodworking. Although this is new to me I've learned a lot and have enjoyed the projects that I have completed.I have found the Kreg jig system as well as their websites to be a valuable tool in my projects.

I'm PMP certified. Love reading the posts - the one thing here I just love is seeing how others have mounted their jigs! Some are VERY ingenious!! John

Hi I'm Fred from from Ontario Canada , I currently work for Rona in our town as contactor sales and construction estimator full time , Certified Home Inspector part time . I'm hoping to to switch to part time at Rona next year and have more time for inspections and of course woodworking in my shop . I love the Kreg jig ,have used it to build fences , furniture , repair furniture (does a good on that). and I seem to be finding new things to use it for all the time.
I am a pipe welder wood working is therapy for me from sometimes a frustrating day.
Hey Jon glad to hear about your therapy class, I have a friend that was a pipe welder up on Alaska pipeline. Between your therapy and knowledge base here you will be busy.Im going back to Minnesota this summer and on way stopping in to Tioga ND to see how close they have been drilling to some land we have there been in family since the 50;s

I used to work in the union trimming trees on the power lines but i'm out of work do to an auto accident
Sorry to hear about auto accident ,Hope it is not serious to point you will be disabled. Can you get out in shop and do any work or not

I am retired from the University of Missouri where I was a manager of a dining hall for the students...REALLY enjoy woodworking of all kinds...most recently I have been making picuture frames for family and friends...got my Kreg jug about 2 months ago and LOVE it...next project is coffee table/chest for my daughter and shelving for my Grandson....seems family are always coming up with things for me to build...love it

I making a hex ring out of 2x4s ripped to 2 ¾ inches wide with 30 degree miters. What setting on the Jig should I used? 1 ½ is too much. Thanks.Continue
