If you’d like a way to keep your mudroom or entryway organized, but you’re short on space, this bench offers a perfect solution. At just 3-feet wide, it offers a lot of utility in a compact package. Plus, it has classic styling that works with a variety of decorating styles.
This bench is surprisingly easy to build, too. Most of the parts are cut from a sheet of 3/4" plywood. Iron-on edge banding covers the exposed plywood edges to provide a finished look. The rest of the parts are made from 1x4 boards. A few of the parts have curves that are cut with a jigsaw to add a little visual interest. You can pick up everything you’ll need from a home center, and build the bench in a weekend.
